National Conference
We are pleased to announce that together with the Malta Food Agency and the Olive Oil Association, we are organising a national conference on Saturday 28th September, 2024 between 0900 am and 1230 pm. The Conference will be held at Koperattivi Malta, Mdina Road, Qormi.
Background
There is no doubt that the olive sector in Malta is growing every year. This is due to the interest by people who toil their land of whatever size, which for us are all important and make a positive contribution to create an agricultural product which has a value on the local and international markets.
The Koperattiva Produtturi taz-Zebbug Limited made a request to the Malta Food Agency to prepare a marketing report about the olive and the olive oil sector in Malta and Gozo. The company M&E Management Group was awarded the assignment and the report has been prepared under the title of: A Research into the Opportunities and Challenges to support the Olive and Olive Oil Sector in Malta and Gozo.
During the Conference, Dr. Massimo Ellul will present the main conclusions of this Report which will be followed by a discussion.
The Cooperative is also taking advantage of this opportunity to present a brief presentation about the Genetic Resources Project known as the Bidni Project.
